#10924 Purdey 12 Bore Ejector
Made in 1881, the 8th Beesley self-opening Action, converted to ejector in 1888.
Barrel and stock replaced at some unknown time by consumed craftsman.
Chopper lump barrel 28” reproofed in Birmingham in 2017 for 2 ¾” shells.
Bores are at .732, minimum wall thickness at .026” and .028”
Chokes .005 (IC) & .014 (M)
Snap under lever action,
Classic Purdey small scroll with high relief carvings of grapes and vine leaves on the fences.
Tight on face, good trigger pull at 3 ½ and 4 Lbs.
The gun weighs 7 Lbs. 1 oz.
Stock comes with 2 professionally fitted leather pads, yielding LOPs of 14 3/8” and 14 7/8”.
Drop is 1 3/8” and 2”, ¼” cast off
Overall in very good condition, inside and out.
