- Description
Serial #11802, made in 1882 a Beesley action Purdey rifle , 28” fluid steel barrels with .500” bores in very good condition with a few light patches of oxidation , bright chambers (3”). Professional reblack in 100% condition, free of any pitting. Good solder joints .
Beautiful Beesley self opening action with side clips, bolted automatic safety , chiseled palm leaves on the fences. Some of the original case hardening colors remain in different stages of wear. Smack on face, oxidation free internal, awesome trigger pulls.
70% coverage of stunning light roses and scrolls engraving.
The stock head shows repairs on the two lower ears. LOP is 14 3/4” over a full checkered and engraved steel butt plate.
Weight is 9 Lbs 4 oz .
As nice a rifle as money could buy in 1882!
