Serail #14206, circa 1910 , 26” chopper lump tubes with bright chambers and very good bores measuring at .4095” and shoot .410 Woodleigh amazingly well as per target. Blacking is 99%, soldering is excellent, strong Southgate ejectors.
Breeches are tight on face with the original untouched hook, a testimony to the strength of the Webley PHV1 screw grip action.
Best Boxlock treatment with interceptor sears, long top strap, chiseled fences, great trigger pulls.
60 % tight roses and scrolls engraving coverage with 90% plus case hardening colors. Weight is 10lbs 2oz. LOP is 14 5/8” over a 3/4” leather covered pad. Structurally the wood is 100% with the grain perfectly aligned at the grip.
Some handling marks as the rifle has been hunted in Africa.
Marvin Huey oak and leather case with accessories. 150 Woodleigh bullets , 75 Hornady bullets ,100 Jamison brass , 200 Hornady brass come with the rifle .
Gone over at one point, I’m sure, this pre-World War 1 rifle is in as crisp condition as they come.
