- Description
Serial #169769, 24” barrel with full integral features; 1/4 rib, recoil lug, swivel band, front sight ramp are machined from the barrel blank.
Bright bore, the chamber has a couple stains. I just test fired the rifle and the extraction is perfect.
The receiver sports a nice single claw bases and rings with a Swarovski 1.25-4X24. Checkered 2 panels bolt handle and bolt stop. All the metal finish is in 95% condition. Double cross bolts on the stock, ebony forend tip, 2 screws sling swivel, silver escutcheon. LOP is 14 ¾” over a 1 3/8” leather covered pad.
Weight is 9lbs 11 oz without the scope and 10lbs 12oz with it.
A lot of time and attention to details went into this piece.
The 416 Hoffman was the predecessor to the 416 Remington, and in a pinch the latest can be safely shot thru this rifle.
